microneedling
collagen induction therapy
MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT COLLAGEN PRODUCTION, IMPROVE SKIN QUALITY, AND ENCOURAGE NATURAL SKIN RENEWAL.
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that stimulates the skin's natural repair processes. By creating controlled microchannels within the skin, microneedling encourages collagen and elastin production while improving overall skin quality, texture, and resilience.
At Esthé, microneedling is used to address a wide range of skin concerns including fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, uneven texture, and early signs of ageing. Treatment plans are tailored to your skin concerns and long-term skin health goals, with a focus on achieving natural, progressive improvements over time.
Collagen induction for stronger, more resilient skin.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a collagen induction therapy that uses fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries within the skin. These microchannels stimulate the body's natural wound-healing response, promoting the production of new collagen and elastin.
As the skin repairs itself, improvements can be seen in skin texture, firmness, tone, and overall skin quality. Microneedling can also enhance the penetration of selected topical products applied during treatment.

Before & After
What to expect
Consultation
Your consultation begins with a thorough skin assessment to understand your concerns, medical history, skin condition, and treatment goals. A personalised treatment plan will be developed to ensure the most appropriate approach for your skin.
Treatment
Following skin preparation, a specialised microneedling device is used to create controlled microchannels within the skin. Treatment depth and technique are customised according to the treatment area and skin concerns being addressed.
Most appointments take approximately 45–60 minutes.
During Treatment
A topical numbing cream may be applied prior to treatment to maximise comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild vibration, pressure, or light scratching depending on the treatment area.
Aftercare
Following treatment, the skin may appear pink or mildly red, similar to a mild sunburn. Temporary warmth, tightness, sensitivity, dryness, or mild flaking can occur as the skin moves through its natural repair process.
Most redness settles within 24–48 hours. During this time, we recommend keeping the skin clean, well hydrated, and protected with daily broad-spectrum sun protection while avoiding unnecessary irritation to the treated area.
Skin renewal continues long after the visible recovery period, with ongoing collagen production supporting progressive improvements in skin texture, firmness, and overall skin quality over the weeks and months that follow.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Microneedling works by creating controlled microchannels within the skin, triggering the body's natural wound-healing response. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to improve skin texture, firmness, and overall skin quality over time.
-
While some improvement may be seen after a single treatment, most clients achieve optimal results through a series of treatments.
For general skin rejuvenation, a course of 3–6 treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart is commonly recommended. More advanced concerns such as acne scarring may require additional sessions. Your treatment plan will be tailored to your skin concerns and goals during consultation.
-
Many clients notice an improvement in skin radiance and texture within the first few weeks following treatment. Because collagen remodelling takes time, continued improvements are typically seen over several months as the skin naturally renews itself.
-
Downtime is generally minimal. Most clients experience redness for 24–48 hours following treatment, although this may vary depending on treatment intensity. Mild dryness, flaking, or sensitivity can occur during the skin renewal process.
-
Absolutely. Microneedling is frequently combined with LED phototherapy, chemical peels, regenerative treatments, skin boosters, and professional skincare programmes to enhance results and support overall skin health.
